Aechmea Mexicana Albo    BackHomeNext

The Aechmea Mexicana Albo is just amazing. It has wide apple green leaves that are marginated with a beautiful GOLDEN color. When given full sun the leaves develop a rosy colored flush on the tips and edges. It's also beautiful grown in moderate shade or anything in between because it keeps it's contrasting yellow and bright green. If grown in a 3 gal. pot the size usually stays under 40" but if you want it bigger, you can put it in the ground. The giant bloom is a tall spike that has white powdery berries that have purple and blue accents when it first comes in, then the berries lose their powder get shiny like pearls. It's the bottom inflorescence in picture four. It really shows up at a distance and creates curb appeal for your property. The sale plants are mature plants like the one I'm holding in the last picture.
