This is a great book for beginners or people who are experienced collectors. My personal experience is that although I have all the books that I know are available, and then a few that are not, I usually look here first when I need a quick bit of info. When I became interested in Bromeliads, I was shocked at the lack of books that had been written on the subject. This book was written by Andrew Steens of Auckland, New Zealand. He has over 25 years experience in producing bromeliads and has published over 150 technical manuals on floriculture, used worldwide. This book has descriptions of over 200 species and cultivars in 28 genera. It has lots of cultivation information and 300 fantastic photos to help with identification. I have been wanting to offer it to our customers for awhile. Research can really be time consuming, and a concise, thorough, and easy to understand book like this makes it FUN!
