The color of the spikes containing many flowers ranges from pink to lavender followed by lots of dark purple berries. It's origin is the coastlines of Brazil so it is very salt tolerant and thrives in full sun. The narrow leaves are lime green and grow upward. The plant itself can easily reach 4 ft. in height and is very prolific.
