This is a plant that you splurge on once in a while. The Vriecantarea Inferno is a John Arden bigeneric of Vriesea Ensiformis and Alcantarea Regina. It's a real show stopper! My experience of the plant is that it grew to 44" across. It's a beautiful glossy, spineless, emerald green. The flower spike is brightest RED , is very bold in structure and it lasted for months.
Each of the branches on the inflorescence opens to bright yellow flowers. The
sale plants are mature and un-bloomed.
