The Vriesea Hieroglyphica is one of my all-time favorites. You just can't beat the dramatic foliage! It's a species and can eventually get to more than 4' wide but is a slow grower, so it will take awhile.  But the show along the way is what it's all about. The leaves are spineless, shiny and smooth with dark zig zag  bandings. The amount of contrast will depend on the light you grow it in, but it prefers filtered light. This plant is not widely available, and when you do run into them, they are nowhere near this size. The third picture was taken at Selby's Botanical Garden. The plants for sale are approx.  24" across like the one  pictured in the last two photos.

If purchasing multiple plants, a shipping discount will be configured on your final invoice. This time of year we ship all plants well insulated, but be sure to arrange for your package to not be exposed to the elements for an extended period of time.
